Tuckt is designed to be simple enough that your child puts it on independently — no tape, no technique, no parent required.

  • Step 1: Slide the sleeve over the foot with the open-toe facing forward and the heel-lock strapping centered on the back of the heel.
  • Step 2: Adjust the lateral strap until the sleeve feels snug but not tight around the ankle bone.
  • Step 3: Pull on the sock and cleat normally. The sleeve should sit flat against the skin with no bunching.

Wear during practice, games, training sessions, and school if heel pain is present during daily activity. Machine wash cold and air dry after each use.

Tap your child's age range below for the recommended size. If they're between sizes, always go up — the compression knit still provides full support.

How to Measure

Wrap a soft tape measure around the ankle just above the ankle bone. Keep it snug but not tight. Match the circumference to the size below.

US Shoe Size Youth 3 – 4.5
UK / AU Shoe Size 2.5 – 4
EU Shoe Size 35 – 37.5
Ankle Circumference 6.7 – 7.5 in (17–19 cm)
US Shoe Size Youth 5 – 7
UK / AU Shoe Size 4 – 6.5
EU Shoe Size 37.5 – 40
Ankle Circumference 7.5 – 8.7 in (19–22 cm)
US Shoe Size Youth / Men's 7 – 9
UK / AU Shoe Size 6.5 – 8.5
EU Shoe Size 40 – 42.5
Ankle Circumference 8.7 – 9.8 in (22–25 cm)
US Shoe Size Men's 9 – 11
UK / AU Shoe Size 8.5 – 10.5
EU Shoe Size 42.5 – 45
Ankle Circumference 9.8 – 11 in (25–28 cm)

Between sizes? Always size up. The compression knit stretches to provide full support — but a too-tight fit can restrict circulation and cause discomfort.

  • Targets the heel-Achilles junction — supports where the tendon pulls on the growth plate, not just the bottom of the heel
  • Fits inside cleats — ultra-low-profile design engineered for tight soccer cleats, turf shoes, and athletic footwear
  • Stays in place during play — adjustable heel-lock strap holds position through sprints, cuts, and jumps
  • Works during activity — not just before or after, but during the practice and game where pain is worst
  • Kid-approved — all-black athletic look, no bulky medical appearance, child puts it on independently in seconds
  • Graduated compression zones — heavier support around the heel and ankle, lighter and more breathable above
  • Machine washable — cold wash, air dry, ready for the next session

The Missing Piece

Why Heel Cups, Tape & Ice
Never Fully Worked

During growth spurts, your child's bones grow faster than the Achilles tendon can keep up. That creates constant pulling tension on the back of the heel — right where the growth plate is still developing.

Every solution you've tried — heel cups, insoles, ice, tape — treats the bottom of the heel or the symptoms after activity. But the real issue is the Achilles pulling on the back of the growth plate, inside the cleat, during play. That's where Tuckt works.

Heel Cups & Insoles

Cushion the bottom of the heel. Slide out of position. Don't address where the Achilles pulls on the growth plate.

What Tuckt Parents Are Saying

★★★★★
Finally something that works inside cleats

I've been through it all. Gel cups that slide, tape before every practice, two sets of custom orthotics he outgrew. This fits in his cleats without making them tight, and he puts it on himself. First time in over a year he finished a practice without asking to come off. I cried in the car — happy tears this time.

My daughter can tell the difference

She's had recurring heel pain since she was nine. Different doctors, different advice. Tried everything from Tuli's heel cups to a $340 pair of custom orthotics. She told me after her first practice with Tuckt: "Mom, it didn't hurt the way it usually does." That was enough for me. Ordered a second pair that night.

Took a shot… best thing in his kit bag

I'll be honest: I almost didn't buy these. We'd spent so much on braces, insoles, and PT appointments that I was skeptical about another sleeve. But the in-cleat design is what got me. He's worn them through an entire club season — practices and multi-game weekends — and the after-practice limp is gone. That's all I needed to know.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything parents ask before ordering.

  • Yes. Tuckt was specifically designed for this. The sleeve is engineered with an ultra-low-profile knit that adds minimal bulk. It fits inside firm-ground cleats, turf shoes, basketball shoes, dance shoes, and most athletic footwear. We recommend trying it with the cleat unlaced first, then lacing normally. If your child is between sizes, go up one cleat size or one Tuckt size.

  • This is the #1 concern parents raise — and it's the exact problem Tuckt was designed to solve. The sleeve looks and feels athletic, not medical. It's all black, contoured to the foot, and your child puts it on independently in seconds. No tape, no technique, no parental assistance required. Most kids forget they're wearing it once they start playing.

  • Tuckt is a support product — it provides targeted compression and heel stabilization, not pain-numbing medication. Your child will still feel their body's signals. We always recommend following your pediatric sports medicine professional's guidance. If your child has persistent pain, visible limping during normal walking, or pain that worsens, please consult a clinician before continued activity. Tuckt works best as part of a responsible recovery plan — not a replacement for one.

  • Heel cups cushion the bottom of the heel. Insoles support the arch. Both address important parts of the foot — but neither targets the specific tension point where the Achilles tendon connects to the developing growth plate at the back of the heel. Tuckt's heel-lock design wraps that junction directly, stays positioned during cutting and sprinting, and works inside the cleat during activity. It addresses the gap that cups, insoles, and tape leave open.

  • Measure around your child's ankle just above the ankle bone with a soft tape measure. Match the circumference to our sizing chart (available on the product page). If your child is between sizes, always size up — the compression knit will still provide full support, and a too-tight fit can be uncomfortable. Most youth athletes ages 8–13 fall into our S or M size.

  • Tuckt was designed with Sever's disease (calcaneal apophysitis) as a primary use case. The heel-lock support targets the exact area where the Achilles meets the calcaneal growth plate — the source of pain during growth spurts. That said, Tuckt is a support product, not a medical device or a cure. It's designed to provide comfort and support during appropriate, clinician-cleared activity as part of your child's overall management plan.
